Does dirk still deserve the MVP?

ok ok....admist all of this warrior mania...a question now lingers....after his horrid 2 for 60 something shooting performance facing elimination..does this guy still deserve MVP? I mean, ok, the MVP award is based on the regular season but don't you think its a waste to give it to dirk? yes, he was part of a 67 win team, yes they had 3 seperate double digit winning streaks, and yes i know the warriors swept them in the regular season....but do you really think dirk's name should be up there in lights with the likes of jordan, bird, johnson...etc? Unlike dirk, these guys played through adversity, they never gave up. Btw, statistically speaking, dirk's numbers don't even jump out at you...he didnt even average a double-double (unlike nash) sheesshh...kevin durant even had better numbers than him...to give dirk the MVP after the mavs being elimanted would just be a waste....
