Negative number miltiplied by another number gives a positive number?

Help! Please help me explain this!!!! Do the following to explain why mathematically a negative number multiplied by another negative number gives a positive number. State that 1 + (-1) = 0 ; Use the zero property with the distributive law and the rule of additive inverses to justify that (-1)*(-x) = x for all x.
